Tournament Results

Congratulations to Josh (of the Cincinnati division) and his Warriors of Chaos for winning the Indohkent championship tournament!!

Jon's (Dayton) Warriors of Chaos came in 2nd, with Ryan's (Indianapolis) Empire taking 3rd. Andrew's (Dayton) Daemons won best painted, and Ryan won best sportsmanship.

I hope everyone had a good time this season. Sadly, I will no longer be living here next year - and so someone else will need to run the League if it is to be held. It has been fun getting to know the players from the surrounding areas and hope that everyone continues to make an effort to keep the gaming groups connected. Thank you again for participating.

League Tournament, part 2

Congratulations to the winners of the regular season. For the record, they are:
Cincinnati: 1st place is Jason E. (Daemons), 2nd is Josh A. (Warriors)
Indianapolis: 1st place is Jon C. (Daemons), 2nd is Ryan C. (Empire)
Dayton 1: 1st place is Andrew W. (Daemons), 2nd is Mark M. (Lizardmen)
Dayton 2: 1st place is Jon F. (Warriors), 2nd is Steve K. (Dark Elves)

The Daemons really swept the competition, winning 3 of the 4 divisions. Wow.

The tournament is still on Saturday, May 19 at the Art of War in Cincinnati. The start time is 12:00 noon, so it will run later than most tournaments. The plan is for 2 1/2 hour games w/ a half hour break in between - and an extra hour break between one set of games to allow time for a meal. So, that puts the games at noon (if we can start immediately), 3:30 and 6:30. The tourney should end by 9:30 or 10:00 pm.

If anyone listed above is unable to attend, then the 3rd place finisher from their league can attend in their place, and then the 4th place player, etc.

Please RSVP at indohkent_league@yahoo.com.

Championship Tourney

The feedback I received from my email was all in favor of having our final tournament at the Art of War in Cincinnati. We are scheduled for Saturday, May 19. (I do not have a start time yet.) The top two finishers from each division are invited. If someone cannot attend, then the 3rd place finisher is invited, etc.

I will post an update on Division standings very soon.

Update - April 2

Lots of things to cover this week, so I'll address them in sections.

BATTLE RESULTS
Six games were played since our last update. The most active Division was Dayton 1. Stephen B.'s High Elves took the field against Ken P.'s Skaven and ended up with a draw - and then turned around and fought Mark M.'s Lizardmen (suffering a lopsided defeat). Ken's Skaven, turned around from the draw with the High Elves to face Jason's Dark Elves - and suffered a nail-biter of a loss. Jason's Dark Elves followed up this victory with a game against Mark E.'s Dark Elves (a little Dark Elf on Dark Elf action - ewww) and found themselves on the losing side of a very close game. Meanwhile, over in Indy, Ryan C.'s Empire were busy - fighting to a draw with John H.'s Dark Elves and then beating Gary L.'s Dwarfs.

WEIRD DIVISIONS
For those paying close attention, we technically have a Dayton 3 Division and a Cincinnati Division. Dayton 3 was created for latecomers - and so it purposefully has been delayed in starting any games. Because some people dropped out, it only has two players currently. It looks like we may need to start playing games - even if there is only a single game to play. Weird. It is still possible that we can find some local players to jump in that Division. We'll see.

Also, down in Cincinnati, there are six players who have paid for the League. However, I have yet to receive any army lists or game results (even though those same rumors tell me that games have been going on). I will post all their results when I get them.

AND THE WINNER IS...
Dayton 1 has played enough games that the 1st and 2nd place finishers have been determined. (There are only 2 games left in the Division - and the results won't affect the overall winner.) So, congratulations to Andrew W.'s Daemons for winning the Division and to Mark M.'s Lizardmen for taking 2nd place. They were tied - and so I had to use total VP to determine the winner. Nice job to both of you!

Weekly Update

Well, the League is moving steadily forward. Five games were played this week.

Dayton 1 and Indianapolis both led the way with 2 games each. In Dayton 1, Mark M.'s Lizardmen took down Mark E.'s Dark Elves and Ken P.'s Skaven came out on top of a very bloody engagement with Andrew W.'s Daemons - handing Andrew his first loss of the season. Meanwhile in Indy, John H.'s Dark Elves put the beatdown on Tony's Empire and Brett B.'s Daemons did the same to Gary L.'s Dwarfs. In Dayton 2, Jon F.'s WoC took down Steve K.'s Dark Elves.

For anyone keeping track of the most popular armies in this year's league, the Dark Elves went 2-1 this week and the Daemons went 1-1.

Some people have yet to pay their League fees. If you are one of them, please get them to me as soon as you can. I'll probably start posting names next week so that other players can help me give reminders (in case some people aren't following this blog).

Weekly (?) Update

Hey everyone,
Well, we are almost halfway through the regular season and the games are really picking up. This week Dayton 2 led the way with 3 games played, with Indy following up with 2 games and Dayton 1 trailing with only 1 game. Of course, Dayton 3 and Cincy haven't really even started yet, so everything is relative.

In Dayton 2, Jon F.'s Warriors of Chaos continued their winning streak with two wins - one against Ben E.'s Dwarfs and another against Chris L.'s Bretonnians. Also in that division, Donny H.'s Vampire Counts took their turn beating up on Ben E.'s Dwarfs. (poor dwarfs!) In Indianapolis, Jon C.'s Daemons beat Ryan C.'s Empire and then turned around and beat Brett B.'s Daemons. In Dayton 1, Mark M.'s Lizardmen won against Ken P.'s Skaven.

All these results should be reflected on each Division's page. Please make sure that I haven't made a mistake there.

Week 3 Update

I have been flying all over the country since my last post, so I apologize for not having the Week 3 update done on time. I'm sure there are more results from this weekend (week 4), but I wanted to go ahead and post the results of games that have been reported.

The Indianapolis crowd led the way with two games: John H.'s Dark Elves and John C.'s Daemons scratching for a draw and Ryan C.'s Empire troops shooting down Bret B.'s Daemons.

Over in Dayton 1 and 2, Jon F.'s Warriors of Chaos pulled out a nail-biter over Conan J.'s Lizardmen and Andrew W. continued his unbeaten streak by beating Mark's E.'s Dark Elves.

I noticed that this was the week of Daemons - as 3 Daemons armies saw the field (ending up with a cumulative 1-1-1 record) - and the Dark Elves ending 1-1 after their two games.

I have a few army lists that need to be posted and will get to them when I can.
